Hello beautiful people, I'm going to keep this one short and sweet. As we move out of this year and into next year I think that one thing I learned is the ability to take advice and/or constructive criticism. This was a year that forced me to really ask myself was I missing something because I was revisiting a lot of issues that I thought were taken care of in the past. I found that my answers had always been in front of me, but because of who it was coming from or how it was presenting itself, I rejected it. I had a bad habit of thinking something must not be working if it didn't look like this or that it wasn't meant to happen if it didn't happen by this time. I will go as far as to say that I wouldn't listen to the quiet advice of people if it went against the direction or the vision that I had at that moment. To me, to do so meant that what I wanted and how I wanted it wasn't going to happen if I had to make those changes. Doing this unfortunately caused me to reject the gems that came with those decisions. I realized that I was revisiting the same things all over again because the gems someone was trying to tell me were necessary to perform in order to get to the part that I saw. Listen, sometimes you can learn something from the most unlikely person. You can be presented with opportunities from places that you would have never imagined had the know-how, let alone the resources. Let's agree on one thing, and that is to move forward with a more open mind. To not get caught up on the presentation, timing, nor the package it was delivered in...none of that. Listen to the message, examine the opportunity. There may just be an answer to the solution you have been looking for in the midst of something that you would have never given a second thought to. In all things, eat the meat and throw out the bones. Meaning, get what nourishes you at that moment and leave the part that is inedible alone. Life has a way of teaching us lessons big and small and sometimes it hides the things we seek in the most unlikely places and people. Until next time beautiful people! FLL
