How to Be True to Yourself

Updated: 2 days ago

Singing from the rooftops, thank goodness the cloud has lifted! Yesterday was such a heavy day, and although I was able to, finding my place of gratitude was a little harder. As much as I hate it, it is true that the sun comes out after a storm. Today I was still in my funk and I don't know what hit me, but all of a sudden my F'k it kicked in. I literally felt this deep feeling of being tired of shrinking to fit one scenario to another or constantly shapeshifting my mind to a lower level to accept something I wasn't happy with and then put a bow on it. I had my "Absolutely NO!" moment and immediately, the dark cloud and heaviness lifted. It's like, you come to yourself in moments like that, and I love it! It's at these times that you remember that you are a whole grown person and you can do whatever you want, within the legal limits and without causing anyone any harm of course. I decided that I no longer wanted to give energy to things that have already happened and that I can't do anything about, or even the things that I don't want to address at the moment because I don't have a solid solution. Learning to be okay with not knowing the answer is key, because let's be honest, this gratitude and balanced lifestyle is truly a day-by-day thing. Some days are easier than others which is why it is important to give yourself some grace. All in all, to be at peace in your current state is the daily goal and sometimes you have to shed outdated layers that no longer serve you to achieve that. So stretch out, expand, and unapologetically fill out all of those tiny crevices and large spaces! Love you lots! - Sacred
